About Us

Daughter Project Canada was established in 2015 by Global Family Care Network, as a direct response to the growing need for anti-sex trafficking resources in our country. Every year, thousands of Canadian girls and women are trafficked domestically, contributing to a multi billion dollar industry and the fastest growing crime in the world. There is very little awareness of these atrocities happening across the country and even fewer resources available to those who escape it. Our mission is to change that.

We have recently made a strategic change in our communication by choosing to focus on ‘Sexual Exploitation,’ rather than ‘Sex Trafficking’ alone. By leading with the overarching category of ‘sexual exploitation’ we are not only better positioned to inform and educate on this complex issue, but our greatest desire is also to prevent the life altering and devastating impact these atrocities have on our children and youth. We need people to understand how widespread this issue is, and how prevalent it is in our Canadian communities.

We work to help children & youth at risk of sexual exploitation through awareness, prevention and advocacy.
